Doctor's Appointments

Yesterday we had Finn and Anna in to see the Doctor for some regular checkups (and Anna get her 2 month needles, even though she's 3 months 'cause I forgot to book her appointment in time). The Doctor was asking some regular questions about Finn: does he eat weel, how much milk does he drink, is he talking, running, playing, etc. Then she asked me if we had started thinking about potty training, and I said, "Oh, actually, he's already potty trained." And she was TOTALLY blown away by that. Then I mentioned that it only took him just over a week, and she could hardly believe it. I guess there are a lot of people out there who have a really hard time potty training their kids.

Also, Anna did really well getting her shots. She cried a little bit, but got over it really quickly. I was very proud of her!

Oh and Jon and I both had our eyes tested and we'll be getting glasses! I'm wicked excited about the frames that I picked! They're Tommy Hillfiger and they're PURPLE!! Pretty funky, huh??

I'm Amazed!

So, I love my kids so much!! They both amaze me in their own ways! This morning I took Finnan to the park in town with MaryAnne and Xander to go for the town Easter Egg Hunt. It was great! Finn and Xander both found an egg (with a little help) and got to claime their prizes! Finn picked an R2 D2 Mr Potato Head... yup, there are such things! It's kinda cool actually. And Anna slept straight through the night for me last night! It may not happen again for a while, but I appreciated it nonetheless!! Happy Easter everyone!

WOO HOO! HE POOPED!

So my major excitement for today is that Finn popped on his potty ALL BY HIMSELF!! All of his own valition! When we started potty training all we had were insert seats for the regular toilet, and they kind of worked, but it meant that Finn had to add an extra step to the peeing experience... he had to actually tell us he had to pee so that we could get him on the seat. But, yesterday, I picked up a actual little potty for him to use, and he likes it much better because he can do it all by himself! He can skip the step of telling us he has to go and just go to his own potty and GO!

Anna and I were in the kitchen, from where I can see the playroom, and I heard Finn say, "I pee in there..." and then I saw him sit down, and clearly it was more than pee. Then he hopped off and was super excited! "Look Mama!! I pooped!!" And of course I was even more excited than he was! Man, I really hope that this works out for us!! :)
